Propagation by Bulb - scaling and Leaf Cutting of Lilium Asiatic Hybrid

Abstract
|

|
This experiments were conducted to investigate the method of rapid bulb propagation by bulb-scaling and leaf cutting from newly selected cultivars of Lilium asiatic hybrid. The results are summarized as follows;
Bulblet Number, weight and diameter were increased in scaling of June 1. compared to March 1. Number of bulblets was promoted by 500 to 1000 ㎎/ℓ IBA and/or 1000 ㎎/ℓ NAA treatment, and also weight of bulblets were more increased with 1000 ㎎/ℓ BA and Kinetin application than control. Bulblets weight and diameter were promoted by using whole scaling or bisectional scaling method. Low temperature treatment of mother bulb before scaling was no effective for bulblet formation, and bulblets development was slightly enhanced at 20℃ or 25℃ than 30℃. Bulblet weight increased in vermiculite media. Bulblets formation and root growth were promoted by 500 ㎎/ℓ NAA treatment in leaf cutting.
